Understanding JAUS- and how to use it
DeVivo offers a two day, intstructor-led training class that enables attendees to better understand and use the JAUS Standards in their systems development. Instructors are experienced engineers, and are key contributors to the progress of the JAUS Standards.
Session 1 (Day 1) is a stand alone class that provides a complete overview of JAUS and the intended use of the standard. This introduction is geared toward executives, managers, designers and developers needing a deeper understanding of the standard and how to apply it to their unmanned and robotic systems programs. Session 1 is recommended for all personnel who will be working with JAUS and includes topics such as:
- Effective Specification
- The JAUS Messages
- Use of Compliance Tools
- Third Party Software
- Future Directions for the Standard
Session 2 (Day 2) is a hands on workshop that enables participants to apply their knowledge of JAUS in the construction of their own working JAUS based system.
This class is offered in both Windows and Linux environments. It i geared toward designers, developers and managers who need working knowledge of JAUS system and software development.
Please note that for the most effective training, Session 1 is recommended as prerequisite for Session 2. Additionally, Session 2 attendees will be programming a JAUS application. Therefore, basic programming skills will be required.
Classes are held at the host's facility and must be scheduled 30 days in advance. DeVivo trainers are experienced JAUS experts and will supply all training materials with the exception of computers or laptops for the Session 2 Workshop.
